About Edward

Dr. Edward Marchewka is a seasoned executive that has come up through the ranks in the IT vertical, expanding into information security, quality management, and strategic planning.

Edward founded and serves as the Principal for 3LC Solutions, enabling YOU to Tell a Better Story in business, with our vCXO consulting services, through metrics and relating risk to the business with our CHICAGO Metrics® SaaS solution.

He has also held several roles leading information technology, most recently with PryorHealth as the CIO.

Before joining PryorHealth, Edward was with Gift of Hope Organ and Tissue Donor Network, leading the Information and Technology Services department as the Director of IT, Data, and Security Services. In this role, Edward provided leadership for Information & Technology Services, Compliance, Data & Reporting. He also served as the HIPAA Security Officer in this role. Prior to Gift of Hope, 
Edward was the Enterprise Information Security and Server Operations Manager (CISO) for Chicago Public Schools, the third largest school district in the country. In this role he managed the Information Security group, Server Team (Windows/Linux/Storage), and IAM Team. Additionally, his IT background includes experiences from running his own computer support business to field service to Fortune 250 experience with Thermo Fisher Scientific. His career started in the US Navy as a Electrician's Mate - Nuclear.

Edward serves the Board as President Emeritus with the InfraGard Chicago Members Alliance - InfraGard is a partnership between the FBI and members of the private sector. The InfraGard program provides a vehicle for seamless public-private collaboration with the government that expedites the timely exchange of information and promotes mutual learning opportunities relevant to the protection of Critical Infrastructure.

Edward is part of the Advisory Boards for:
  • Colorado Technical University College of Security Studies:
    • The course content for Colorado Technical University’s Information Systems & Technology degree programs is regularly updated to reflect trends, theories, applications and practices in the field of Information Technology.
    • The advisory board responsible for the quality of these programs is comprised of CIOs and senior-level management professionals at major corporations. 
  • Prairie State Community College's IT Program:
    • Prairie State College Information Technology faculty are recognized experts in their field, with advanced teaching credentials and professional experience. They are dedicated instructors who are willing to work individually with students to help them succeed.
